PAN and PRD proposed special committee to femicide
Online Teotihuacan. Toluca. The fractions of PAN and the PRD in Congress Mexiquense presented a point of agreement to request the Coordinating Board the creation of the Special Commission to monitor the actions of state government to combat the violence femicide in the State of Mexico.
The Deputy National Action Labastida Karina Sotelo argued that due to high rates of discrimination, violence and threats against women in Mexico State territory is necessary to create of that committee.
In this regard, said lawmakers are obligated to fulfill the commitment they have made to women, society and the general population, trying to harmonize the rules governing the security and human rights of the female population in the state .
In the parliamentary tribune, Labastida Sotelo explained that the Special Commission would aim to monitor the actions of state authorities on the subject of attention, procurement and access to justice for women, to reduce risks of violence against this sector of the population equivalent to 51 percent of the total state population.
"It is important to note that the state authorities do everything possible to hide the figures on femicide and violence against women, because they do not agree that the public becomes aware of the alarming situation that exists daily in the State of Mexico. "
also asked the deputy PAN vote of all the parliamentary groups represented in the local Congress, after arguing that the Attorney General of the State of Mexico have not responded to requests for updated and complete information on all forms of violence against women, from institutional and community violence, to bullying and school.
"It is alarming that in our state we are living in an alarming situation, we must put an end to voluntary manslaughter and why not also to the negligence of our authorities"
